Useful for students and required for interns
Depending on the type of stay abroad, comprehensive insurance coverage is requested. This particularly applies to interns and guest scientists.
Accident indemnity and third party liability insurance may be added to basic coverage.

Optional
Depending on personal situation and individual need for security the basic insurance cover may be supplemented by following insurance options:
Travel assistance, luggage and trip cancelation insurance

Where do your students travel to?
Stay abroad in North America
Your students complete an academic year at a partner university in the USA or Canada?
- High costs for medical treatments and liability claims may challenge the future of young people. Unlimited medical coverage guarantees adequate insurance coverage.
- According to student visa requirements, like J1 and F1, basic coverage is mandatory. The optional insurance modules such as accident indemnity and third party liability insurance are recommended as well.

Exchange program worldwide except in North America
Your students get the chance to gain experience abroad e.g. within an internship in Singapore or a research semester in Buenos Aires?
- Basic coverage is essential for students. Interns usually have to provide comprehensive coverage abroad including third party liability, for example.
Do your students go abroad for a semester in Australia?
- Even if the students already benefit from health coverage through the guest university, travel insurance including medical repatriation is necessary. This way, students are also insured during their travels, preparing language courses and extended stays abroad.
